Waverton Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability constructs a layering and folding of multiple viewpoints and physical fragments pieced together into a comprehensive whole, while embodying the notion of the pedestrian experience through space. Our passages through the landscape become biographical encounters full of subjective interpretation and perceptive appropriation. By encountering these places one becomes conscious of the fragility and impermanence of the city, and is inspired to compose their own narrative; a place that simply exists between mind and matter.
