Fixated by the idea of the gentrification of the city and its architecture the Urban Band-Aid project was birthed as a tongue-and-cheek contextual response. This project aims to draw attention to the cracked, wounded and broken spaces of the city through small points of aesthetic symbology, so perhaps we can acknowledge these flaws and glitches in public space through art-making and, beyond that, in the way we live our lives. The project in overall terms is an engagement of aesthetic-critical interruptions, infiltrations and appropriations that question the symbolic, psych-political and economic operations of the city.
